It’s time for Dodger Baseball!
This month our Culture Club team organized a Blowfish Malibu Dodger Night for employees and their families. Everyone who came out go to enjoy the game plus a credit for food and / or merch. Although the Dodger’s lost, the outing was still super fun and it was the perfect ending to a busy week. We love getting to do fun activities through our Culture Club and we can’t wait for the next one!

Another day, another photoshoot. The Blowfish Malibu marketing team ventured over to Oceanside, California to shoot our SS22 campaign. Even though we were expecting blue skies, these few days in November were filled with gloomy skies and particularly cold weather for SoCal.
Fun fact: our team had to go in afterwards and make sure the skies actually *appeared* blue for the final products. Overall, we’re so happy with how these shots came out and, at the end of the day, we’re always happy to spend some quality days with the team on set.

It’s hard to believe we’re already in the home stretch of January (wasn’t it just Thanksgiving?!). But here we are.

It’s National Tie Dye Day and we are here for it!
Today is National Tie Dye Day and to celebrate, we sent some of our favorite kiddos their very own kit to tie dye their own Blowfish Malibu Kids shirt.
The best part of the box we sent out? A fresh pair of Rioo-T sneakers! Rioo-T is a lightweight, hand washable EVA sneaker perfect for your little one and all her adventures this season.
One of the lil cuties who received a tie dye kit was @izzynell2626. She did an excellent job of showing off the goodies that we sent her for today’s fun holiday.

Confession time: we love taking behind the scenes photos. Seemingly endless hours of creativity, planning, collaboration and effort goes into each one of our photoshoots. So, we love capturing images of the process come together, especially when we can share them with you! So, we snapped a few sneak peek photos while on set for our SS21 campaign for our 4Earth project – just for you.
The Blowfish Malibu 4Earth project features some of our most popular shoe styles – but made with an upper composed of recycled plastic! Plus, $1 for every pair sold is donated to Oceana, a non-profit dedicated to cleaning up the World’s oceans. Not only will you feel cute wearing these styles, you’ll feel good about supporting a non-profit devoted to helping our earth.

Meet our latest obsession: tie dye sneakers.
Sometimes it feels like winter will last forever. So, around this time of year, we’re always looking for ways to make us feel like it’s summer. One of the ways we beat the winter blues is by incorporating more color into our everyday looks.
Enter our newest obsession: tie dye sneakers. Our new line of fun, colorful sneaks make it feel like summer is on your feet every day regardless of the weather outside. As a California girl, I can guarantee that I will be wearing mine every chance I get.
We’re also in love with how gals across the country have embraced tie dye sneakers and this super fun trend. (And we’re loving how they wear their Blowfish Malibu kicks!)

A new year calls for new resolutions! Here’s what Allie from the Blowfish Malibu Green Team has on her list for 2021.
We have to be realistic this year about what we can accomplish, especially in terms of New Year’s resolutions. We’re going through an emotional and unprecedented time, and it’s important to take a step back and really hone in on what we think we can realistically achieve. While many New Year’s resolutions of the past may have included things like “travel more” and “sign up for a gym membership,” 2020 has taught us that our resolutions should be a lot more realistic. This is why I’m continuing my focus on being a conscious consumer and doing my part in helping the environment.
When it comes to our Green Team, we had made a variety of changes in and to our office last year to ensure our entire team was working in a more eco-conscious way. But then came March 2020. Our entire team went full remote so it became important to adapt and make greener choices in our new work environment (aka home).
This year, as we continue to work from home, we are aiming to keep channeling the same “Green Team” attitude.
Here are some realistic resolutions I’ve made for 2021 in order to cut back on my own waste and to eliminate as much plastic as possible:
To say I’m obsessed with my Hydroflask is a massive understatement. I even gifted a couple of them to friends for the holidays! I upgraded my lid for one with a straw, so it’s fun (and easier!) to drink out of. It honestly feels like an adult sippy cup and I constantly find myself refilling it three times a day. Drinking more water AND cutting back on single-use plastic? A success!
I try to avoid using straws as much as possible when I’m out and about, opting to drink straight from the cup. For Christmas, I was gifted these great reusable straw kits and I plan on sticking one in my purse so I’ll always have a straw on hand if needed!
I moved home during the pandemic, and one thing we’ve realized is we go through A LOT of water. I always have a water bottle by my side. To cope, my family got these large water jugs, which we refill with filtered water at a small, local grocery store whenever we run out. Not only are we refilling the same plastic jugs and cutting back on waste, but we’re also supporting a local business. A win/win!
A Brita filter is also a great idea, especially if you are living with a smaller household.
With a family of four, there tends to be a lot of cooking – and a lot of leftovers. Enter Tupperware! We’ve upgraded most of ours to glass containers, so not only are they great for storing food, but they’re also easy to stick in the microwave and heat up once you’re ready to eat. We have them in all shapes and sizes, and honestly, leftovers always tend to make for the best lunch anyway.
Most people are fully aware of Nespresso, but did you know they offer a recycling program for the pods you use? You can get these recycling bags through Nespresso and either drop them off at a Nespresso location or at the post office. For people who drink a ton of coffee (like my family), this is the perfect way to get a caffeine fix at home without doing harm. I adore everything on this list and I personally own most of it! The Blowfish Malibu shoes, specifically, are the comfiest dog walking shoes around. The new winter styles are absolutely adorable! Luke loves them too 😉
