3 Ways to Style Knee High Boots

The knee-high Kara boot is one of our favorites – here are three different ways to style them!

My morning routine has changed these last few weeks. Where once I sleepily shuffled into the kitchen to turn the kettle on, I instead make a beeline for the thermostat to turn on the heat. These recent chilly mornings are a reminder that cold (oh no, not the cold!) weather is just around the corner. It is officially time to unpack my coats from storage, revisit my sock situation, and finally figure out if I should give in to the beret trend.

It is also time to let my winter boots take center stage. I love this time of year because I can create outfits around one of my favorite boot styles, the knee-high boot. Our Fall/Winter collection includes a few different styles, but I am especially excited about the Kara boot. This knee-high beauty features five decorative straps with buckles that are lined from the outer ankle up through the height of the boot. Our talented designers also included a lightly cushioned footbed and inside zipper for easy on and off. (They are always looking out for us!)

Kara will surely be your favorite cold weather boot. Here are three different ways to wear them this winter.

Wear Kara to work.

This look is fab-u-lous. I love the proportions of the oversized mens blazer paired with a short dress and tall boot. The look is complete, effortless and casual. Meeting the girls for happy hour after work? No problem. Wear this look from day to night and still turn heads! Add a printed clutch and you’re ready for anything.

Wear Kara to shop.

Funky, comfy, and cool, this look has shopping with the girls written all over it. Sweater dresses make a comeback this time of year, so pair yours with solid tights and knee-high boots. A shorter hemline paired with a tall boot will create an elongating effect, making you look taller. Belt your dress to create shape, and swing a leather purse onto your shoulder before you head out the door. And don’t forget your credit cards, girls!

Wear Kara to brunch.

Got a case of the brunchies? Me too. Like, every day. When they strike next, don’t be caught off guard wearing sweats and a stained college sweatshirt. Wear this absolutely adorable get up instead! Knee-high boots look great paired with black leggings and a large comfy sweater. Wrap an oversized scarf around your neck, grab your weekend tote, and make your way to the closest stack of strawberry pancakes. I’ll meet you there!
