3 Healthy Holiday Recipes Everyone Will Love
Check out some of our favorite healthy holiday recipes!
When I think of the holidays I am flooded with thoughts of love, family get-togethers, and the beautiful spirit of giving. It truly is one of the most wonderful times of the year. But I must be honest with you, ladies: I am also overcome by thoughts of marvelous holiday foods, drinks, and desserts! I dream of gravy-drowned mashed potatoes, homemade pies, and those sweet, sweet sugar cookies. It’s the one time of year when splurging is in order… necessary… a must. Like I said when I was younger, “grandma made me do it!”
Even though I love treating myself during the holidays, I always find myself needing some sort of healthy alternative to all of the festive food. Whether it’s a green juice in the morning or an extra serving of salad in place of a large scoop of stuffing, I try to give my body a breather every now and again. I mean, I don’t have to eat every piece of fudge, right? So to give your holiday some healthy options, I have found a couple of recipes that are lighter and healthier, but just as delicious. Enjoy!
